Duration: 9:30am-2:30pm
Location: Museum of the Rockies, Bozeman, MT
Cost:

Camp Description:
All camp sessions will be held exclusively at the Museum of the Rockies (600 W. Kagy Blvd., Bozeman, MT), taking full advantage of the immersive “FROGS: A Chorus of Colors” traveling exhibit (open February 6 – September 7, 2026). This live-frog showcase features over 15 habitats with species like Poison Dart Frogs, Vietnamese Mossy Frogs, Tomato Frogs, and more—plus hands-on interactives (frog calls, virtual dissections, vision tests, videos, and 35+ panels on biology, ecosystems, culture, and conservation).
We’ll build real museum skills: close observation, detailed sketching, thoughtful questioning, note-taking, and turning exhibit discoveries into personal research and projects.
Daily Structure:
• 9:30 AM – 11:30 AM — Dedicated schoolwork time (Math & ELA). Students work at their own level with help from Mrs. Christine whenever needed.
• 11:30 AM – 12:30 PM — Lunch outside (picnic-style on the museum grounds or nearby grassy areas, weather permitting; please pack a healthy lunch—we can discuss frog diets while eating!)
• 12:30 PM – 2:30 PM — Hands-on frog-focused afternoon using the exhibit.
April 2 is a special full-day session (no schoolwork, just decorating “poison frog” cookies and dissection of a real frog!—details below).
